IJSMF considers plagiarism to be a serious violation of academic integrity. Plagiarism includes presenting another person's ideas, words, data, figures, results, or other intellectual contributions as one's own without appropriate acknowledgement or citation.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submitted manuscripts are original and properly acknowledge all sources used in the research.
Examples of plagiarism may include:
- Copying text from another source without appropriate citation.
- Presenting another researcher's ideas or findings as original work.
- Reusing substantial portions of previously published work without appropriate disclosure.
- Using figures, tables, images, or other materials without appropriate attribution or permission where required.
- Improper paraphrasing that substantially reproduces another author's work.
IJSMF may use plagiarism or similarity-detection tools as part of its editorial screening process. If substantial plagiarism is identified before publication, the manuscript may be rejected. If plagiarism is identified after publication, the journal may investigate the matter and take appropriate action, which may include correction, withdrawal, or retraction of the published article.
